Ceramic Coating
Coating is not a spray-and-go. Most of the work happens before the bottle opens — the paint gets washed, decontaminated and prepped so the coating bonds to clean clearcoat instead of sitting on top of contamination. Here is exactly how it runs in your driveway.
WHY COAT IT
What the coating actually does
Wax sits on paint for a couple of months. A coating chemically bonds to the clearcoat and stays. The difference shows up every time you wash the car.
Easier washes
Dirt and brake dust sit on the coating instead of the clearcoat, so most of it rinses off before a mitt touches the car.
Water beads off
The surface sheds water, which means fewer spots, faster drying and less standing water on horizontal panels.
UV and stain defense
A sacrificial layer against Los Angeles sun, bird droppings, tree sap and sprinkler minerals.
Gloss that holds
The corrected finish is sealed in on day one, so the depth you see at handover is the depth it keeps.
THE PROCESS
Five steps, in order
Nothing gets skipped to save time. Each step exists because the next one fails without it.

Wash Car
ABOUT 1 HOUR
A foam bath and two-bucket hand wash strips road film, dust and old sealant so the paint can be inspected honestly. Wheels, tires and door jambs get cleaned first, because dirt from those areas travels back onto clean panels.

Paint Decontamination
CHEMICAL AND MECHANICAL — ABOUT 1.5 HOURS
Washing removes what is sitting on the paint. Decontamination removes what is bonded into it. Iron fallout and tar are dissolved chemically, then a clay bar shears off whatever is left so the surface is genuinely smooth.

Surface Prep
1–3 HOURS DEPENDING ON CONDITION
This is where the gloss is decided. Light polishing removes swirls and haze so the coating locks in corrected paint rather than defects. Then every panel is wiped with a prep solution to remove polishing oils, because coating will not bond to a surface with residue on it.

Apply Ceramic Coating
1–2 HOURS
The coating is applied by hand, one panel at a time, in a controlled shaded area. Each section is leveled at the right moment — too early and it will not bond, too late and it high-spots. Panels are checked under light before moving on.

Cure Time
24 HOURS DRY, 7 DAYS TO FULL CURE
The coating hardens after application. Keep the car dry and away from rain and sprinklers for the first 24 hours, and skip washing for a week. After that it is fully cured and the car goes back to normal use, just with far easier washes.

FAQ
Before you book a coating
How long does the whole job take?
Plan on 6 to 8 hours on site for a full coating. Heavily contaminated or swirled paint adds time in the prep stage, which is where the finish is actually made.
Do you need my driveway, water and power?
Driveway or covered parking, yes. Water and power come with us. The car needs to stay out of direct sun and away from sprinklers while the coating flashes and cures.
Can you coat over swirls and scratches?
We can, but we do not recommend it — the coating locks in whatever is underneath for years. Surface prep includes a polish, and deeper correction is quoted after the intake inspection.
When can I wash it again?
Wait seven days. After that, a plain pH-neutral hand wash every two weeks is all it needs. No automatic brush washes, no harsh degreasers on paint.
Is a coating the same as a warranty against scratches?
No. A coating is chemical protection and gloss retention. It resists staining, etching and light marring, but it is not paint protection film and it does not stop rock chips.
